Merchant


  • Click on the ‘Settings’ icon on the top right corner of the homepage, this will display a dropdown list, click on ‘Help’, on the top center of the page, then click on the bright blue ‘FAQ’ bar to access the frequently asked questions and answers to them.

  • Click on ‘Settings’ on the top right corner of the homepage, a dropdown list will appear, then click on ‘Profile’. On your profile page, click on the ‘Pen’ icon on the top right corner of your profile page to enable you to edit or change your business name.

  • Click on ‘My Store’ on the homepage, on the ‘My Store’ page, click on the ‘+’ icon on the bottom center of the page, there you can upload your product, add the product name, product description and unit price. Click on the ‘save’ button on the bottom center of the page, you have now successfully uploaded a product on Afrijula!

  • Click on the ‘Settings’ icon on the top right corner of the homepage, click on ‘Profile’ on the dropdown list displayed then click on the ‘Pen’ icon on the top right corner of the page. Continue by clicking the ‘Camera’ button on the top center of the page to upload your profile picture from your Gallery.

  • Click on ‘My Store’ on the homepage, there will be a display of products you have uploaded. Choose the product you want to delete and click on the red trash can icon on the bottom right corner of the chosen product. Confirm deletion by clicking ‘Yes’.

  • Click on ‘My Store’ on the homepage, identify unavailable product and then click on the red cancellation icon on the top right corner of the chosen unavailable product. Confirm cancellation by clicking ‘Yes’.

  • Click on ‘My Store’ on the homepage, there will be a display of products you have uploaded. Choose the product you want to edit and the click the ‘pen’ icon, this will allow you to edit the details of the post. Add wanted details and erase unwanted details, satisfied? Click the ‘Save’ button to save the changes.

  • On the merchant’s side, there are two ways to cancel an order made by a customer. i. First option: Click on ‘My Store’ on the homepage, then click on the ‘Orders’ notification bar at the top left corner of the page, click on the green ‘View Order’ button on the bottom right corner of the order you wish to cancel. This will display the details of the order and then on the bottom middle of the page, click on the red ‘Reject’ button and then click ‘Accept’ to confirm cancellation of the order. ii. Second option: (Repeat the first half of option one) Click on ‘My Store’ on the homepage, then click on the ‘Orders’ notification bar at the top left corner of the page, click on the green ‘View Order’ button on the bottom right corner of the order you wish to cancel. Then click on the ‘Chat’ icon on the top right corner of the order details page, this will open the chat box between you and the customer that placed the order, on the bottom right corner of the chat interface is a green ‘Shopping bag’ icon, click on it and then click on ‘Cancel Order’ and then ‘Yes’ to confirm the cancellation of the order.

  • Click on ‘My Store’ on the homepage, then click on the ‘Funnel’ icon on the top right of the store page then click on ‘Not Available’ to mark it, click ‘Submit’ and all previously deactivated products will be on display under the activated products. Identify the product you want to activate, click on the green ‘Tick’ on the top right corner of the chosen product and confirm activation by clicking the green ‘Yes’ button. (Note: You can isolate the product category by clicking on ‘Not Available’ to mark, followed by clicking on ‘Active’ to unmark and then click ‘Submit’. This will provide you access to the deactivated products ONLY)

  • Click on ‘Report’ on the homepage, now on the Report page, click on the ‘blue calendar’ button at the top left corner, it will open a calendar. Click on the ‘pen’ icon at the top right corner of the calendar to set your date range for your report. Insert ‘Start Date’ and ‘End Date’ and a report will be generated for that period.

  • Click on ‘Report’ on the homepage, scroll down to the last section of the report page, click on the blue ‘Change’ button on the top right corner of the ‘Sales Target’ section, add a sales target and click ‘Save’ to set a new sales target.

  • Click on ‘Report’, then click on the blue ‘PDF’ icon on the bottom right corner of the page, it will give you an option to print SALES, PURCHASES or PROFIT & LOSS report. Choose the document you want to print out, click ‘Preview’, click on the ‘Printer’ icon on the bottom left of the page, on the top left corner on the page click ‘All Printers’ to print out your report document. (Note: You can set details on how you want your document to look i.e color, paper size, number of pages e.t.c…. Check out other How-Tos on how to do that.)

  • Open the ‘Play Store’ app, tap the ‘Search’ bar above and type in ‘AFRIJULA’. Click download and then install! Congratulations, you now have Afrijula!

  • After downloading the Afrijula App, open the application, on the signing in page, click on the blue ‘Sign Up’ button on the bottom right corner of the page, click on the ‘Sign Up As A Merchant’ box and then fill in the spaces with your business name, upload a profile photo, first and last names, phone number e.t.c. and then click on the blue ‘Sign Up’ button on the bottom center of the page. You are now successfully signed up as a merchant on Afrijula.

  • After you have marked an order as ‘Pending’, ‘Processing’ and ‘Ready For Pickup’, click on ‘My Store’, click on ‘Orders’ on the top left corner of the store page, click on the little black dropdown arrow on the top right corner of the page, depending on what the order status is click on where the order is i.e Pending, Processing or Ready For Pickup. After clicking on the order status, click on the green ‘View Order’ button on the bottom right corner of the order and then click on the ‘message box’ icon on the top right corner of the page to initiate chat interface. There you will find an automated message requesting to share your location with the customer, click on the green ‘share’ location icon to share your location with that customer for pickup.

  • If a customer sends you an inquiry about a product, request for a price reduction or ask to create an order for them, you can open the chat box with them by clicking on the ‘message box’ icon on top of the homepage, then click on customer’s chat and click on the green ‘shopping bag’ icon on the bottom right corner of the chat, click the green ‘shopping trolley’ Create Order icon to create the order. On the top is a search bar, search for the product they requested for, click on the box on the right side of the product to mark it and then click ‘Add’ on the bottom right corner of the page. On the bottom right corner of page, click on the price bar to input the requested price and then click the red ‘Create Order’ button on the bottom middle of the page. You have successfully created an order for your customer. (Note: After the order has been created, the customer should accept the order by clicking on the green ‘Buy’ icon and finish the steps of authenticating an order i.e choosing a delivery company or pickup for the order to be fully made.


  • Customers


  • Click on the black ‘shopping cart’ icon on the bottom right of the product you wish to place an order for, the product will be automatically added to your cart. Then click on the ‘shopping cart’ icon on the top right corner of the page, then click on the green ‘Buy’ button on the bottom left corner of the ‘My Cart’ page, choose ‘Pickup’ or Delivery. Choose ‘Pickup’ by clicking on the ‘pickup’ option and click on the green ‘Continue’ button on the right. Then click ‘Checkout’ on the middle of the page, click the green ‘Accept’ button, authenticate and confirm the order by inputting your phone’s passcode. You have now successfully created an order. Choose ‘Delivery’ by clicking on the ‘delivery’ option and click on the green ‘Continue’ button on the right. The input or add your delivery address by clicking on the green ‘+’ icon on the right side of the ‘Delivery address’ bar, specify or identify the address for logistics purposes, then click on the green ‘Save’ button. Then click on the dropdown arrow on the right side of the ‘Delivery Agent’ bar, click on the delivery agent of your choice and then click the green ‘Checkout’ button on the bottom center of the page, click the green ‘Accept’ button, authenticate and confirm the order by inputting your phone’s passcode. You have now successfully created an order.

  • There are two ways to cancel an order as a customer. i. Click on the ‘Settings’ icon on the top right of the homepage, this shows you the dropdown list, click on ‘Orders’, click on the green ‘View Order’ button on the bottom right of the order you wish to cancel, the click on the red ‘Cancel Order’ button on the bottom center of the page, click the green ‘Accept’ button to successfully cancel your order. ii. Click the ‘Message box’ icon on the top right of the homepage, click on the chat of the business the order was placed at, then click on the green ‘Shopping bag’ icon on the bottom right of the chat, click on the red ‘Trash bin’ delete icon and then click the green ‘Yes’ button to successfully cancel your order.

  • Click on the ‘Settings’ icon on the top right corner of your homepage, the click ‘Profile’ on the top of the dropdown list. On the button center of the profile page, click on the green ‘Activate Merchant Account’ button, type in your business name and click the green ‘continue’ button. A merchant account will be automatically created and you now have access to all modules used by merchants. You are now a merchant on the Afrijula App!

  • After downloading the Afrijula App, open the application and on the signing in page, click on the blue ‘Sign Up’ button on the bottom right corner of the page, click on the ‘Sign Up As A Customer’ box and then fill in the spaces by uploading a profile photo, first and last names, phone number e.t.c. and then click on the blue ‘Sign Up’ button on the bottom center of the page. You are now successfully signed up as a customer on Afrijula.

  • After the product has been added to your cart by clicking on the ‘cart’ icon under the product you wish to purchase, click on the ‘shopping cart’ icon on the top right of the homepage, then click the blue ‘Make Offer’ button on the bottom right corner of the page, you can then choose an automated offer option or input your offer amount on the bottom ‘Offer a different amount’ bar and then click the green ‘Make Offer’ button on the bottom right corner of the ‘Make offer’ page, click then green ‘Accept’ button. You have successfully made an offer on a product. (Note: The business must accept your offer before you can proceed to place the order on the agreed price by clicking the green ‘buy’ shopping trolley logo in your chat and continue by finishing the steps to place an order.)

  • Yes, your data is safe, secured and protected. Please refer to the Privacy Policy to know more about your data safety and protection.

  • The App requires no password, an OTP code will be sent every time you intend to log in.

  • The moment a merchant uploads a product, it will automatically show up on Shop, making it visible to all Afrijula users.

  • Yes, the app is available in the English and French languages. In order to change the language, change your phone’s language setting to the desired language (English or French) and this will automatically apply to the app. (Check out our YouTube video on how to set language)

  • : Note: To ensure effectiveness and a more enjoyable experience, current users need to be online to get new updates, new products and directly communicate with merchants in real time.

  • The app contains audio helplets in two local languages; Wolof and Mandinka that make the navigation easier for our non-literate users. (Check out YouTube video on how access audio helplets)

  • No, the application cannot be accessed on a laptop. The webbase however can be accessed and used on a laptop.

  • This action is coming soon.

  • Yes, merchants can add multiple products on the ‘MY STORE’ module and will simultaneously be added to the ‘MY SHOP’ module for the shoppers to see.

  • There are two checkout options on the Afrijula App; Pickup and Delivery. A customer can select the option that they prefer which in this case would be ‘Pickup’.
